SILVER CADUCEUS SOCIETY FORK POLK

Fort Polk Fort Polk Silver Caduceus Society members conducted a Staff Ride to the WWII Museum in New Orleans, Louisiana. Pictured in order left to right are: Mr. Lewis (Retired MSC Officer), CPT Brian Tilly (Chief, PTMS Hospital Adjutant), MAJ Glasco (Chief, Clinical Support Division), COL Blanding (BJACH Commander), MAJ Reed (Chief, Logistics Division), MAJ Penacerrada (Chief, Information Management Division) and LTC Hartman (Deputy Commander for Administration). This event was conducted to promote esprit de corps within the Fort Polk Silver Caduceus society and provide historical professional development and enhanced knowledge about WWII from a medical perspective.


SILVER CADUCEUS SOCIETY BAVARIA

Bavaria SCAThe Silver Caduceus Society Bavaria met on January 18, 2017 at the Stryker Inn DFAC on Rose Barracks, Germany. This was the chapter's first meeting in over two years. CPT Kyle Thomas was elected as President and CPT Alex May is the Vice President. The SCS Bavaria Chapter will meet once a month on Wednesdays during lunch. History of the Silver Caduceus Society

The first SCS established in 28 September 1967 under Eighth United States Army, Korea. Since then SCSs have been an important part of the evolving history of the MSC for providing professional development, education, and mentoring opportunities. The goal to have one at each military installation where MSC officers serve.

Purpose of the Silver Caduceus Society

Silver Caduceus Societies (SCS) are private associations established for Medical Service Corps (MSC) officers to conduct professional and personal development and offers a forum for MSC officers to be updated on the advancements in technical, administrative and scientific arenas. The SCS provides an environment for mentoring and networking opportunities and encourages social interaction between MSC officers.
